Stairway to heaven.

Built to encourage chance encounters and collaboration among Earth and Space scientists and engineers, the naturally lit atrium features open stairways that provide the primary building circulation. The custom graphic uses standard symbols from geologic maps and diagrams to depict a cross-section of earth and sky, with the Earth’s crust at the lowest levels and sky and stars at the top.
