Stanford Redwood City, a new campus for Stanford University, serves approximately 20% of the university’s workforce, including 2,700 staff members across 10 organizational units and more than 70 departments. The project focused on creating a strong connection between this key group of employees and the vibrant spirit of the main campus, while also fostering a unique sense of energy and identity for the new location.
Our environmental graphics for the interior of the buildings were designed with an emphasis on the vertical circulation areas, integrating both wayfinding signage and large-scale supergraphics. The graphics themselves combine photography, color, and pattern to form dynamic visual collages that highlight student activities and achievements. This approach helps bridge the connection between the remote staff and the life of the student body, creating a shared sense of community and engagement.
